Aural Architecture

Product Description

My third ‘official’ long player, Aural Architecture was released at the back end of September 2013 on a new label – the good folk at Interchill Records.

This release sees a slight departure from the first two albums, inasmuch as the material within was augmented with the arrival of an Eavestaff piano, which I feel adds a little more depth to the recordings.

I’d also been upgrading my studio with a lot more analogue gear, so the LP was mixed through a classic Mackie 32:8 board using Roland MKS 7/30/70 rack synths and my old faithful Juno 106, not to mention lashings of acoustic guitar and bass, for the most part played live.

This said, my third album isn’t that radical a departure from Get Lost – it’s still imbued with the same ambience that listeners have come to know and love.

“The new release encapsulates what Bruce Bickerton does best, which is to combine a melancholic yet positive spirit – it’s music in a minor key that is reflective and has the ability to make the listener feel better. 10/10″

“If you like Ulrich Schnauss and Tycho then you need the wonderful alucidnation ‘Aural Architecture’ LP and sublime EP on Interchill”

“One of the best albums we’ve heard this year.”
