Aside from the filmic, downtempo meanderings of ‘Widescreen View’ which was written back in 2002, this selection of work dates from 2007 through to 2009, each piece varying in pace and mood.
There’s a fresh take on ‘Blue Horizon’ here, as well as two tracks co-written with Jake Bickerton – that’s him playing the fuzz guitar on ‘Delay Time’ and jamming on ‘A Fruity Conserve’.
’16 Below’ is the mellow deep-house companion track to the ambient version ’15 Below’ which appears on the second alucidnation LP ‘Get Lost’.
There’s also a deeper more dubbed out version of ‘Pedal Steal’ on this album, which in actual fact bears little or no relation to the original version. It’s still rather good, though.
